The CMEC Parent Association is Looking for a Few Good Parents

The CMEC Parent Association needs YOU! Yes, YOU!

We are looking for parents to take on volunteer and leadership roles for the 2013-2014 school year.

What is the CMEC Parent Association?
The Parent Association is a group of parents who support CMEC, its mission, teachers, staff and students through fundraising and school events.

What events are currently organized by the Parent Association?

The main events planned and run by the PA are: Fall Festival, Scholastic Book Fair, CMEC staff appreciation meals and events, Family Skating Nights, school spirit days, & spring CMEC t-shirt sales. PA leadership and members also assist with and support the CMEC 4th of July float in the Bexley parade as well as various CMEC open houses and events.

How is the PA run or organized?

For the past few years, the Parent Association has been headed by co-chairs or a chair who then asks for volunteers to help plan, staff and run various CMEC events. In reviewing the past few school years, parents have suggested that the PA have a more structured leadership established in order to grow and to more effectively support the school. Looking ahead to next year, our goal is to have a CMEC PA president, vice president, secretary and treasurer, plus chairs for the main events planned by the PA.
Why do we need YOU?
All parents and community members are important parts of the CMEC community and each of you have unique talents and skills that can support CMEC. Everyone has something to contribute!
