Spring Gala Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where is the Gala held?
A. The Gala is March 23rd at the Hilton Columbus at Easton.

Q. Where should I park?
A. The Gala will be held at the north entrance of the Hilton adjacent to the parking garage/under the porte-cochere. Enter through this north entrance.

Q. What should I wear?
A. The Gala is dressy casual – no need for ties, formal dresses, etc. You are encouraged to wear what you are comfortable in and will see everything from dresses to slacks for women and khakis to sport coats for men.

Q. Do I need a ticket?
A. No, actual tickets aren’t being issued. Your reservation guarantees you a seat at the Gala. You’ll receive your seat assignment and name tag when you arrive at the Gala and check in at the registration table. Those who haven’t paid in advance can purchase seats the day of the Gala for $65.

Q. Who attends the Gala?
A. Parents and grandparents of current and former CMEC students, the Center’s faculty and staff, their guests, friends of the Center and alumni of the school attend the Gala.

Q. What is the schedule for the evening?
A. At 6:30 p.m., registration and the silent auction opens, and appetizers will be served. There will be a cash bar. At 8:00 p.m. the silent auction closes and dinner will be served. There will be a short program then the live auction will begin. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the end of the evening. The event will conclude by 11:00 p.m.

Q. I’m new, why should I attend the Gala?
A. The Gala is a great way to meet other parents, faculty and supporters of CMEC in a casual, fun environment.

Additionally, the Gala raises a significant portion of the current year’s operating budget to assist CMEC in providing financial assistance to students.
