CMEC Pool Party @ Bexley Pool
Monday, August 12th6:00 to 8:00pmBexley Pool2100 Clifton Avenue, Bexley, Ohio 43209Our Caregiver Committee (formerly Parent Association) is hosting a Pool Party at the Bexley Community Pool located at 2100 Clifton Avenue, Bexley, Ohio 43209 on Monday, August 12th from 6:00-8:00pm to kick-off the school year! The party will be setup in the David H. Madison Community Pool Birthday Tent. All are welcome to attend, just mention you are with the Columbus Montessori "birthday party" when you arrive. -

Caregiver Open House
We invite you to attend our Caregiver Open House on Thursday, August 15th from 5:30 to 7:30pm. This event is exclusively for adults and provides an opportunity to meet your child's teachers, tour the facilities, and learn more about our plans for the academic year ahead. There will be a meeting held in each classroom with teachers and caregivers, the schedule for these classroom meetings is as follows:- 5:35-6:00pm: Infant Toddler Classroom Meetings
- 6:05-6:30pm: Children’s House Classroom Meetings
- 6:35-7:00pm: Lower Elementary Classroom Meetings
- 7:05-7:30pm: Upper Elementary Classroom Meeting
Please be sure to be in your child’s classroom for the classroom meeting time listed above, and we invite you to walk the building to see what updates have been made over the summer as well as meet our Specialist Staff members and Administrators before and after your classroom meeting(s).If you are not able to attend Open House, or if you have children assigned to multiple classrooms in the same program and are not able to attend each classroom’s meeting, we will be holding these meetings virtually as well as recording them.

First Full Day of School for Infant Toddler Program (ITP)
Monday, August 19th will be the first regular, full day of school for all children in JKC and Toddler Preschool classrooms.Gradual Start Day 1 - New & Move-up CHP & Elem students
Our gradual start days are for all brand-new students in our Children's House (CHP) and Elementary programs to CMEC and all returning CMEC students who are moving up to a new program (CHP 1st year pre-k students, Lower Elementary 1st grade students, and Upper Elementary 4th grade students). If your child is a returning student who is in the same program they were in last school year, they will not be participating in the gradual start days.**Gradual Start Day 1**
August 19th
9:00am - 10:30amCaregivers should plan to attend this day with their new and/or move-up students- 9:00-10:00am – shortened morning work cycle for caregivers and their child in the classroom
- 10-10:30am – All children go outside for gross motor play
- 10-10:30am – NEW Caregivers go to the gym for a New Family Meeting with administration
- 10:30am – pick-up for all CHP and Elementary students

8:30am - 12:30pmOnly our new and move-up students will attend this day, no caregivers.- 8:30-11:00am – regular morning work cycle in the classroom
- 11:00-11:30am – outdoor gross motor play for all children
- 11:30-12:30pm – lunch (pack a healthy lunch for your child)
- 12:30pm – pick-up for all CHP and Elementary students

First Day of 2024-2025 School Year
Wednesday, August 21st is the first official full day of the 2024-2025 school year for ALL children in Children's House (CHP) and Elementary programs.
