This event raised $85,000 to support Columbus Montessori, an increase from last year, that reflects the generosity of the Columbus Montessori community. Proceeds from this event support Columbus Montessori’s mission and help to provide financial assistance to children who attend the Center. All parents, faculty, alumni, and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The Gala featured more than 200 silent auction items from businesses and individuals who support Columbus Montessori.
2011 Spring Gala and Auction
The live auction featured student-made items from each classroom at Columbus Montessori along with other exciting items such as a Brutus Buckeye party appearance and the opportunity to dedicate a tree on the grounds of the Center.
Suneeta Ganga and Joanna and Ryan Helon were the George Award winners for 2011. The George Award, named in honor of George Neugebauer, annually recognizes a Columbus Montessori volunteer for outstanding service and a commitment to children. These two individuals have given tirelessly of their time, talent and treasure.
Alumni Student, Courtney Deena Speaks at Spring Gala
Columbus Montessori alumni, Courtney Deena, shared with us her special journey and the exciting future that awaits her. Guests then raised their hands to support student financial assistance with a special donation. This effort raised $17,000 in under 10 minutes.
