For Young Children
“Designate a shelf, drawer, etc., within their reach where they can pull outfit choices from for the day,” Amy Williams, CMEC Teacher Education Program Director said.

Williams said this allows the child choice within preset parameters.

For Older Children
Set expectations.

“I try to keep it simple. Clothes must be clean, weather appropriate and from the right section of the closet,” Terreece Clarke, CMEC parent said. I divided my children’s closets into school clothes, special occasion and casual items. To avoid morning drama we work together to pack away anything that doesn’t fit or isn’t appropriate for the season.”
